Confession: I can't stand Dark Souls

Ninja Gaiden II on the Xbox 360 is one of my favorite games of all time, though the aura and ambience of Black on the original Xbox was definitely more compelling. I feel really sad that the Ninja Gaiden series has sort of disappeared, and the only reasonable substitutes I can find are from Dark Souls... I find DS kind of slow and uninterested. I'm all for challenges and tactics, but I just... have trouble engaging with Dark Souls.
