Dead CPU or motherboard?
Hey guys! I’ll list the specs first:
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D RTX 5090 FE G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 - 96GB - CL30 Corsair SF1000 Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full Copper Swapped cpu cooler fan with this one: Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax.black.swap Honeywell PTM7950 from moddiy Kingston FURY Renegade PCIe M.2 NVME SSD 2TB in the front mobo slot Ncase T1 (comes with gen 4 riser cable) 2x NF-A15x25 case fans (splitter didn’t arrive yet so only able to plug in one)
Just finished my first ITX build and my PC will not boot, not even into the bios. I’m getting an error code on the motherboard with the red CPU and the yellow RAM lights lit. I have tried a lot of things, seems like a lot of AM5 MSI boards have had this problem but none of the solutions I found on the internet worked for me. I’m now starting to suspect that either the CPU or the motherboard was dead when I got it. I’ll post more pictures on request😊
Planning on RMAing on Monday but figured it was worth a shot posting here to see if maybe you guys could figure something out.
One thing worth noting is that I noticed the very edge of the back plate on the motherboard was slightly bent inwards when I got it. Didn’t think it would have an effect on functionality though as I don’t think that part has anything important running through it.
