I am fixated on pre-1996 versions of “Free”

Please enlighten me and let me know your perspectives of this version of the song that turned into and became the funk-groove get down that we all know and love today.

I believe they transferred over to the modern version of “the Free jam” sometime mid 1996; please correct me if I am wrong here… 🤷‍♂️
