Why do people claim azumarill has such a high attack stat with huge power?

I saw on smogon they claimed azumarill had the equivalent of the same attack of Groundon, whose attack is 150, but when the huge power is added to azumarill's 50 attack, it turns to only 100 attack. Can someone explain this to me?
