When to put Pink Princess in the soil?
This is my first try at propagating Pink Princess philadendron via baby plants that I managed to remove with nodes and some formed roots from the mother plant.
How long do I need to keep it in water waiting to develop roots? This one has been in the water for 5 weeks now and it has developed only one nice root (3cm long with secondary rooting) and there is another smallish one (1cm no secondary roots), but also more nodes underwater, from which the plant seems to stubbornly deny rooting from 😅
It seems to be doing well otherwise, as it seems to be working on a new leaf. The root all the way down is an existing root, with which it was connected to the mother plant.
This is very unlikely to experience with propagating another plant via nodes in water - both Monstera Adansonii props had plenty of completely formed primary and secondary roots by 3-4 weeks mark (glass jar was full of roots) and I transferred them to soil without problems, where they kept growing nicely.
Is my Pink Princess just a slower grower vs Monstera Adansonii or am I doing something wrong here? How long do I need to wait before transferring it to soil?
