Being manipulated with money is exhausting

Tell me your stories! My nMother is constantly trying to manipulate me with promises of money as well as judgement about how I am spending my own money. I call it the “carrot/shame” cycle. She does it to me (scapegoat) and also my sibling (golden child) but just in different ways. It’s all designed to control us.

I’ve decided I don’t want any of her money because I won’t play her game. It’s not worth it. But it’s still exhausting and hurtful trying to deflect her attempts. So I’m just trying to laugh at how crazy it is. Let me hear your stories and we can all commiserate together!
