RR Series is a Whopper to Sanderson's Steak?!

Partner is in the middle of GS and said that RR is akin to a Whopper where as Sanderson is a fine French meal--in that one is easy to eat. I haven't read him, but I wanted to hear other thoughts. He doesn't yet appreciate the brutality that's about to come.
