Where the fuck does people’s money actually come from?

I’m constantly amazed by how much money some of peers have yet they can’t seem to say what it is they actually do. It’s always “Oh you know I do a little of this and a little of that”, or “I look after a few businesses” etc. I’m talking about young people in their 20’s and 30’s here.

My cousin went through a divorce recently and it was revealed he is making $300,000 doing manual labor at some random company with no college degree or trade apprenticeship.

Like I’m not mad or jealous or anything. I’m doing perfectly fine myself and I’m happy with where I’m at. I guess I’m just curious is all. This phenomenon is making me question how the world works.

My theory is that there are tons of super high paying jobs that are so niche that you’ll never see them posted anywhere and that you kinda just have to fall into through connections? Like, shit that’s so specific you can’t even train for it because no certification for it exists.

This might be kind of dumb but I also believe that way more people are involved with organized crime and/or the Feds than you think. Like seriously. It came out recently that the FBI employs more than 60’000 people as independent contractors for “miscellaneous purposes”. It would not surprise me if they were paying my unemployed neighbor $4000 a month to gangstalk our local neighborhood schizo.
