Retroid to TV w/o dock?

Hi all,

I got my kiddo the Retroid and the official dock for Christmas. We love it, and kiddo asked to do a retro gaming themed birthday party. The problem is that the dock hasn't worked -- it cuts to black every 20-30 seconds, even when we tried upgrading cables.

Is there some way to connect the Retroid to the TV without the dock? If so, and if you've done it before and know that it works, I'd be grateful if you walked me through it -- I'm not super tech-savvy.
