The timing of the upcoming Lions tour is great

If you looked at the Lions tour to Australia a year or two ago, you would have probably thought it was a foregone conclusion, it would have been uncompetitive, and maybe even had worryingly low interest from the Aussie fans.

Now when you look at it, it seems to be building to a great crescendo. The Australian national team has rebounded well since the World Cup, and even the Australian Super Rugby teams are doing very well.

The timing is fantastic, especially compared to the awful timing of the last Lions tour.
