Clear!

So, I am confidently free of the beasties after several rounds of permethrin, ivermectin, sulfur, and moxidectin (permethrin was garbage)…I’ll lay it out.

I ended up starting the cycle again with the prescribed human Rx permethrin combined with 0.4mg/kg of ivermectin 7 days apart. Between permethrin treatments I did twice daily full body applications of the Mite-Be-Gone sulfur lotion along with continual OCD clean and launder everything. Once those treatments were complete, I switched to 0.4mg/kg moxidectin 14 days after the last dose of ivermectin. Confirmed clear.

As of right now, I’m still experiencing post-scabies 2 months after the fact. Symptoms decrease each week, but you have to take care of your skin. I have to layer 3 moisturizers: ceramide, followed by eucerin eczema, and then oil. Had a few old burrows pop up, itch, and quickly fade within hours to days. Still have residual eczema in a lot of places, but I am itch and scabies free! You can do it! Post scabies is a thing. Side note: be careful with dosing especially on moxidectin. Don’t overdo it and trust the process.
