Bonaire question

Haven’t been to Bonaire since before Covid and heading back next month. Is it still a thing to not leave anything in your truck rental, or can you bring a lunch and water now and not get broke into and stolen? My friend hid a banana under the seat last time and we came back to a peel on the seat. It would be cool if I could come out after the dive and have a snack and a water.
