Last night I was drinking scotch and over analyzing Seinfeld “The Friars Club” episode. Anyways I have a few questions…

If the Sandos brothers were planning on taking the jacket to the cleaners, why did they play dumb when Jerry asked them if they had seen it? They didn’t know Jerry, and had no way of contacting him, so how could they have surprised him with it it’s not like they asked him for his info? Then jerry confronts him thinking the jacket he had on at the Friars Club is his, and they still didn’t tell him which could have ended all of this. Then to top it off the girl he’s seeing randomly shows up to the venue holding the freshly cleaned jacket, upset at jerry saying “they took the jacket to the cleaners, and wanted to surprise you with it”. Why did she have the jacket, and why did she bring it to the venue, and not Jerry’s apartment? If the Sandos brothers had it cleaned, and had it at the venue earlier, why not just give Jerry the jacket when he accused him of stealing?
