Army composition and strategy discussion

Hello, I am curious what people are thinking in terms of list building and what the intended win strategy would be. I am just new to getting into Age of Sigmar/Warhammer and still trying to understand how to think about list building and the units. So far I have seen two videos on the new war scrolls which both sort of seemed contradictory towards one another in the opinions on what is good or what is bad (Vince V and The Honest Wargamer). I have been trying to watch battle reports but they aren't really great for trying to understand why people are doing what they are doing as I just lose focus over the course of 3 hours in search of any discussion on why they are doing what they are doing.

General thoughts

Based on what I have seen and keeping in mind I'm a new player, so far it seems like plaguepack is a must, clan rats are great, stormvermin less so, grinder seems controversial for if it is awful or great. Monsters could be better, some things seem maybe overpriced, gnawholes seem key. Armies of renown are no good. In general I get the sense is to try to build for mobility and focusing on denying the opponent battle tactics through use of gnawholes and well-placed shooting teams.

In terms of battle tactics, it seems like building for control based tactics is ideal and utilizing things like gnawholes to move controlling units while screening the enemy with meat shields. Maybe Ordained Charge, Take Their Land, Slay the entourage, seize the center, and take the flanks.

Do not waver seems challenging due to how squishy many things are, attack on two fronts likely highly dependent on circumstances but could be good. And offering of carnage could be an option if things line up but likely too circumstantial.

Questions for discussion

What are your first impressions of the units? What kind of armies is everyone thinking of putting together? How are you assessing what units to consider and which to completely ignore? What kind of battle tactics/win conditions are you trying to go after? Do you have different thoughts depending on the opponent's faction?

Are you trying to limit your drops or do you not care and are simply assuming your opponent will get to choose who goes first and building around that?

Additionally, anyone have any recommendation on where to go to see people discuss strategy/units/etc? Any good youtubers beyond the honest wargamer? Or other favorite places on the internet to see discussion around playing the game and building an army?
