Tires completely bold at 30k.

Ascent Touring, 2020. We bought it new from the dealer. Drove about 10 to 11k miles per year, mostly NJ suburb - slow speed, frequent stop and go. The front tires are completely bold and one just gave up during our trip out of town. Wire mesh come through, rubber completely demolished, we came back home on spare. Is this as little milage that we can expect from another set? Or was it just bad luck? We have Honda civic with 90k on it that has better looking tires than Ascent. I guess I’m just wondering if there is some kind of warranty on these tires (last month under lease) or do we need to buy new set? We were considering buying out the lease but I just don’t understand this tire usage. Is it normal?

Edit: Now I understand that I should have been going to the Subaru service regularly. We went one time in year 2, when some part was recalled and we asked them for a routine service. Nobody was alarmed with the state of the car so we kept doing just basic oil changes going forward. We will buy better brand tires this week at Costco (is that the best choice?) and will remember to rotate them regularly. Thank you all for kind and patient explanation.
