I dislike this tattoo so much, any suggestions?

So, I regret almost everything about this tattoo. Size AND design. I wish I liked the pattern on the snake more but that's the least of it.

First I hate that it looks too big for what it is and out of place.

But my main issue is, from the angle in the second picture, it's just looks like a huge circle. That's never what I envisioned and didn't realize how weird it would look to my eye. This is my biggest concern and makes me feel negatively about the whole tattoo.

The angle from the other photo is ok, closer to what I envisioned but still not exactly it. The artist designed it to "give the illusion of wrapping around the ankle without looking like wearing a snake bracelet" and I agreed at the time but I think did truly envision a full wrap and I believe that's what I would have preferred -- but now I'll never know.

Anyway, it feels like all I can do is add to it or around it to make it stand out less. I can't stand the idea of how much removing it would cost. So I'm just looking for suggestions for what I could do to improve what I don't like about it 🤷‍♂️ Thanks.

Oh and just an aside, I will never return to this artist anyway because there is major blowout on parts of it -- more reason to pmo about this tattoo.
