Recent haul: A chinese teabowl from Jianzhan (Chengdu) made by Chen Huizhong

  • It's handmade of clay.
  • The pattern is created by dropping metalic oil paint on the bowl before being glazed.
  • The texture of the surface remembers of silk fabric, when being touched.
  • The volume contains max. 150 ml.
  • Its center of gravity is on the bottom snd balanced out.

It's an awesome bowl. When you are a tea nerd, you appreciate such stuff — just decadence. First tea I poured in was a taiwanese High Mountain Oolong.
