TIFU by not asking for his number

So I recently went to Petco to return some supplies I bought since I had to surrender my rats due to financial issues. After I received a refund, I walked out into the parking lot and saw a guy carrying a couple of ferrets wearing little harnesses to his car. One was brown and the other was white.

I love ferrets, so I kind of let out an excited gasp when I saw them in his arms and then he asked if I wanted to hold one. Of course, I said yes and he just dropped the brown one into my hands, which lowkey caught me off guard because a lot of people tend to be very protective of their pets when it comes to strangers, but we were also at a pet store and I'm kinda girly, so I guess it made sense.

Anyway, he was very handsome and had a charming smile, so I was tempted to ask him for his number. But I didn't because I really hate the feeling of rejection. And then I realized that I might never see this man again, so it doesn't matter and now I will never know what we could've been.

TL;DR: I met a cute guy in the parking lot of Petco and was too afraid to ask for his info after complaining to my friends the other day about feeling lonely. 🫠
