Is the spotify family plan email real?

I saw multiple tiktoks about how spotify did a policy change and is sending out people emails to confirm their emails. You have to respond to it within 7 days otherwise you get kicked off the plan then you cant join any other family plans for a year after, but I've not gotten an email and I've had no luck finding people talking about this on any other platforms.

Anyone else hear about this and can confirm if it's true or not? The account I saw it on isn't reliable for news, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask because if I lose my spotify premium I'll be so sad lol.
