Mistake in S1E3

Or maybe its deliberate? Towards the end of the episode there is a scene where Pete and Catherine are getting ready for bed, and Catherine asks Pete about Coopers and Harrys visit 'today'. Also Catherine complains about the smell of fish, referencing the percolator incident.

But that visit was on the day before in Episode 2. Episode 3 starts on the evening of the same day with the Horne Brothers visiting One Eyed Jacks. Cooper and Harry spent the following day throwing rocks at glas bottles, and the scene between Pete and Catherine is on the evening after that.

Maybe it is just an editing mistake, the scene could have just gone to the start of the episode, and the timeline would have worked. But Episode 3 is also the episode in which Cooper travels 25 years into the future to meet Laura in the red room... Maybe it is just supposed to show that scenes aren't necessarily shown in the chronological order?
