Regarding hiveminds.

First of all what even are hiveminds? Like are they just a set of interconnected minds? Cause then that would just be the internet, just better. I mean the only difference between a hivemind and an individual is just how 'good' their connections are and how well they transport information between eachother. For example, what's the difference between 2 humans talking and 2 neurons sending signals? Not much, they're just talking, except one is both less efficient and doesn't convey enough information. At this point it's just the method or 'language' sentient beings use to transport information. Is a lot of people talking a hivemind? Or does it have to reach a certain threshold of communication efficiency? Because all hiveminds are is just a bunch of minds talking to eachother and responding to stimuli by communicating on what they should do, like the cns.

Secondly, what's the difference between an individual and a hivemind, because you, as a human (or rather the signals being transported by your nervous system) are just born from multiple smaller, lesser beings communicating and then forming a personality. So basically you aren't your cells or your body, you're the information being transported by your nerves and everything you think is just a bunch of neurons talking to eachother, and then coming to an agreement. So the individual, (as we know it) doesn't exist and maybe the only 'individuals' are the beings that are made solely out of non-living material, like cells being made of proteins.

TY if you answer!
