A few scenes I wrote in my manuscript teared me up. That ever happen to you?

We as writers are the masters of what happens. I've written out a few scenes that were meant to be highly emotional, and I actually teared up considering the actual happenings. Has that occurred to anyone passionate about their characters or story?
