Plastic surgery is obvious/uncanny/"bad" by design. The goal is not to look younger or refreshed, it's to intentionally look "done". It's a status symbol, and shows you belong to a certain class. It's not supposed be subtle or invisible, or even necessarily attractive (and it usually isn't).
