AITA for not teaching my dad's wife how to cook some basic meals?

I find it hard to believe anyone can be that bad of a cook. Like, do you have working tastebuds? Can you taste your own food and realize: "Oh, this tastes like crap! I should try doing something different next time.". She has eaten takeout before, so she has a minimum grasp of what food should be like.

I can't answer on the tasting her cooking part. But I can say it never looks or smells good. And making people sick with her food three times in only three months is just crazy really. But she managed it.

Looks don't really matter to me. But it smells bad? And people are getting sick? What? This is a matter of ingredients, not cooking. When you or your dad cooks, where are you getting the ingredients from? Something smells fishy here...
