A long drive from Denton and back, but I'm excited these handmade concrete chessboards are in their forever home at Rougeaux's in Nome, TX.
A place for all things Texas. Please familiarize yourself with the rules, y'all.
After learning my lesson with cauls. SCC tops, 1.5" thick + 3" drop edge. The top around the sink was ~1,200lbs.

The suggestions from my previous post are now being implemented for future concrete boards, but here's another older set- along with a concrete table. I really appreciated all of the supportive and constructive input, thank you! I'll share a revised board soon.

I make these boards from concrete. They meet all of the requirements outside of material, because they're not "smooth plywood". At 60lbs each, they're not portable but are well suited to live outside forever. Any general thoughts? Just a concrete guy looking for input from cornhole people.

My current work in progress: a concrete coffee table. It still needs it's edges finished and a sealer applied, but I was too excited not to share. It's just wet with water after polishing.

A current concrete coffee table work in progress. Still needs an edge profile and sealer- but too exciting not to share.. Just wet with water after polishing, 24"x24" and 35lbs.

Another concrete dog food/water station, but this time I exploited our 17 year old to test the beading action and pay dog tax. You can see the high fiber load at the leading edge as the SCC GFRC rolls into the mold.

Other than concrete coasters, I think this is the smallest/lightest piece I have out there- a whopping 4.5lbs of concrete/terrazzo.

Throwback to the first concrete I poured, and what led me to inlaying concrete- our old kitchen in early 2013. It took 73 samples to arrive at that mix, aka, "Lucky #73".
